Electrical equipment such as lights, computers, DVD/CD players and video projectors is used to deliver these services that the boats use on-board solar PV modules to generate all the electricity needed. On some boats the PV supply is mainly used to charge batteries for the solar home lighting systems that Shidhulai has supplied to families. Solar lanterns have also been distributed, particularly for use in fishing boats, and are recharged when Shidhulai boats visit.
